Boat progress

Dear reader
We are getting really close with the boat now. We did a compression test this morning. I am being pretty successful in pushing my dad into buying the boat. He is running out of excuses. I hope to have the boat by friday.

Warmth

Dear readers

Today has been the first really hot day. We have had some days where it has been comfortable, but today is actually hot. The tempature right now is 82 degrees, with a real feel of 90. I am going to the beach. I hope everyone else enjoys the weather as much as I have. Also, I have almost gotten back to my original weight. I am 109 pounds. That is my original weight, but it is still very thin. My height to weight ratio is 1,4 pounds per inch. My dads is 2.9 pounds per inch that is more than double mine. My goal is to reach 1.8 pounds per inch. That requires me to reach 120 pounds. I will post my weight on the bottom of every post

Passover

Dear readers

Happy Passover and good Friday. Today we are preparing for tonight’s Passover dinner. I am currently sitting in my moms car while we go around picking stuff up for tonight. Later we will go home and start cooking in a mad rush to prepare for when people get here. Yesterday. I got my new contact lens for my left eye (the one that didn’t have surgery on it). The new contact lens is great for seeing better but I cant read with it. Because of this I can’t look over this posting for tipos and bad writing flow. I am apologising in advance for all errors. Please don’t get mad (Dad) about any grammatical errors

Perfect

Dear readers

Today was a very busy day. I woke up, had a big breakfast and then had a tutor for 2 hours. Then I had another tutor for an hour. Immediately after that we left for the city to see my eye surgeon Dr Lopez. He examined my eye, and casually said that my retina looked “PERFECT” and the buckle was fitting it great. I felt weird leaving his office. I don’t know why but I did. Halfway through the ride home, I figured it out. I have never heard a doctor say “perfect”In the last few months, I have spent countless hours in the presence of countless doctors. Never have they said the word perfect without the word ” not” in front of it. To me, it is a sign of recovery. Everything is slowly getting better. It is slow, but it is getting better. I wish it were faster but I can’t control that.

Dr aron visit

Dear readers

I am doing pretty well. I went to see dr aron about my foot and balance. He said the foot was nothing to worry about and gave me medicine to help the pain. He said that my balance might be another problem. The MRI was normal so we ruled out the possibility of something being wrong in the brain. We still think the most probable explanation is gentimycin toxicity. Gentamicin is known to affect the inner ear. There are two things there that it can affect. Hearing, and balance. In my case, it hit the balance but not the hearing. We are not sure how long this will take to resolve itself and we don’t know if there is anything we can do to help it.

100000

Dear readers

We did it! We finally hit 10,000 views on the blog. I’ve come a long way since February 2, when I started the blog. I had only checked into the hospital for the fourth time in 2 weeks. I didn’t know I had an aneurism in my splenic vein, I hadn’t lost part of one of my kidneys, I hadn’t had heart surgery, and I hadn’t tore or repaired my retina. It has only been 54 days since the blog started, but those 54 days will probably go down in history as 54 of the most important days in my life. When I started, I thought the blog would help people keep track of my many health problems and stop our phones from ringing constantly. But after I reached 100 views a day by my second day, it became more than that. Writing for this blog had become almost a duty to all of my passionate readers. After that, the blog picked up even more steam. At the climax February 13 (the day of my heart surgery), I had over 800 views per day. I was completely amazed with how many people were monitoring my progress. It is touching to know how many people care about me so much.

Now for what you have all been waiting for.
The winner of the contest.
David Ingerman was the 10000th viewer. He has been one of the longest followers of this blog. He has posted more than 50 comments and has always been watching closely to see new developments that I make every day. He should be receiving his new signed I patch in the next few days.
As always, thanks for reading

100000

Dear readers

I have some exciting news. My blog is about to reach 10,000 views (in under three months). I am currently at 9522 views. I plan to hit 10,000 by the end of this week. I cannot believe how far my blog has come. The fact that so many people care about me, and read about me every day is mind blowing. Knowing that everybody is watching and caring about me has helped me through a difficult time.
